The Authors module in CMS 4media is a feature that allows you to create author profiles for articles - complete with their photo, biography, and a list of written articles.
Author pages enable you to share additional information about your editors and journalists, highlight their names, and make it easier for users to explore other content by the same authors.

These are fully interactive personal profiles. While reading an article, users can click on the author (either the thumbnail or the name) and get redirected to their dedicated page. Here, they will find an enlarged photo, workplace, contact information (email, phone), biography, and a list of articles published by that author.

List of Authors
The list of authors allows you to manage each person's pages. As an administrator in CMS 4media, you can edit, delete, or deactivate/reactivate an author's profile.

Adding a new author
During the article creation process, you can select a specific author from the list of authors ("Select author" button). This chosen author will be displayed along with their name, surname, and a thumbnail photo beneath the title of the published article.

To make this possible, you need to create an author's page beforehand. Go to the main menu -> click on the “Authors” module -> click on the plus icon above the list of authors to create a new author profile.

The author page editor will open, where you can:
- Provide the author's first name and last name.
- Enter a subtitle, such as the author's position in the editorial team.
- Fill in the description field, where you can write a short bio for the author.
- Provide an email address where users can contact the author.
- Add a phone number as a contact for the author.
- Upload a main photo: a .JPG or .PNG file with a maximum size of 10 MB and a minimum size of 540x540 pixels.

You can choose whether the main photo should be displayed within the author's page. If you uncheck the "Show Author's Main Photo" switch, the photo will only appear as a thumbnail next to the author's name beneath the article's headline.
The "Active" toggle, when turned off, will hide the thumbnail and the author's name from articles published by the author.

For each author's subpage, there are also SEO Fields available, which you can fill in for better control over the title and description in search engine results.
The module also features its own Authors widget that can be pinned to views within page templates.
