In the CMS 4media Multimedia module you'll find added video materials, audio, and live broadcasts (livestreams) that you can place in widgets and add to articles. As a journalist or editor, you always have the option to share exclusive multimedia materials only on your local media website instead of publishing them on YouTube.
Files uploaded in the Multimedia module (depending on their size) are processed and available for embedding in articles, subpages, and widgets within a few minutes. Each file also has its unique link to the subpage and multimedia player.
Adding Video Material (from a device)
To add video material, log in to your CMS 4media admin dashboard and select the Multimedia module from the main menu. Then, click the plus icon.

A window will open through which you can upload the file.

The maximum file size limit for a single file is 5GB, and the accepted format is mp4.
The uploaded material should appear on the list of materials within a few minutes.
Once the material appears on the list, you can:
- edit it,
- change the title,
- add a description,
- and fill in the SEO fields (see the SEO fields guide).
You can also upload a WebVTT subtitle file for the added material.
After uploading and processing the video file, you can proceed with the following options:

- Show update date: If selected, users of the website will see the date of material update (editing).
- Active: If set to "Active," the material can be displayed in various places on the website, e.g., in a widget.
- Allow users to download audio/video materials: If this option is selected, users will be able to download the added material. Note: This option applies to specific material. Global settings regarding the ability to download audio and video materials by users can be found in the Settings module -> Website View -> Downloading audio / video materials by users.
- Show material title in the player: The title will be displayed in the multimedia player on the website.
- Availability for the "Video Materials" widget: If this option is selected, the added video can be displayed in a widget.
- Availability on the "Video Materials" list and individual page: If this option is selected, the added video will be displayed on the list of video materials.
Additionally, there are additional actions and settings related to the thumbnail:

- Download: A button that allows users to download the video material to their device.
- Actions -> Generate new main photo: Allows you to generate a new main image.
- Preview of the main photo.
- Delete the existing main photo.
- The ability to upload your own main photo.
- Crop the main image.
- Select an image from the File Browser.
- Choose an image from your device.
Video files added in this way can later be embedded in the Video Materials Widget in page templates.
Adding YouTube Material
To add video material from YouTube, click the plus icon and then fill in the "Title" and "YouTube video URL" fields. You can also add a description and fill in the SEO fields (see: SEO fields).

- Show update date: If selected, users of the website will see the date of material update (editing).
- Activate/Deactivate material
- Show material title in the player.
- Availability for the "Video Materials" widget.
- Availability on the "Video Materials" list and individual page.
You can use the Video Material Widget to embed uploaded YouTube materials. If you need something simplier, you can use fast and easy to configure YouTube widget.
Adding Audio Material
To add audio material, click the plus icon and upload the file.

The maximum file size limit for a single file is 5GB, and the accepted formats are mp3, aac, wav, flac. In the case of adding an aac, wav, or flac file, the system will convert it to mp3.
The uploaded material should appear in the materials list within a few minutes.
Once the material appears on the list, you can:
- edit it,
- change the title,
- add a description,
- and fill in the SEO fields (see: SEO fields).
Similarly to video and YouTube materials described above, there are additional options:

- Show update date: If selected, users of the website will see the date of material update (editing).
- Activate/Deactivate material
- Allow users to download audio/video materials: If this option is selected, users will be able to download the added material. Note: This option applies to specific material. Global settings regarding the ability to download audio and video materials by users can be found in the Settings module -> Website View -> Downloading audio / video materials by users.
- Show material title in the player: The title will be displayed in the multimedia player on the website.
- Availability for the "Audio Materials" widget: If this option is selected, the added audio can be displayed in a widget.
- Availability on the "Audio Materials" list and individual page: If this option is selected, the added video will be displayed on the list of audio materials.
- Player appearance settings: Note that these settings apply to specific material. Global settings for the player's appearance can be found in the Settings module -> Website View -> Audio Player Appearance.
Additionally, there are additional settings related to the appearance of the material in the player:

- Button for downloading audio material to the device.
- Preview of the main image.
- The ability to upload your own main image.
- Crop the main image.
- Choose an image from the File Browser.
- Choose an image from your device.
Audio files added in this way can later be embedded in the Audio Materials Widget in page templates.
Adding Livestream
To add a live broadcast, go to the Multimedia module, then to the Livestream tab. After clicking the plus icon on the top left, fields will appear:
- Title
- Description
- SEO Fields
- Social Media Image (1200x630 px)
Next, you can choose the type of live broadcast:
- HLS - HTTP Live Streaming
- MPEG-DASH – Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP
- YouTube
Important! For the live broadcast to appear on the website, it must be available online to anyone who has the link.

- Show update date: If selected, users of the website will see the date of material update (editing).
- Activate/Deactivate material
- Show title of the live broadcast in the player.
- Availability for the "Live Broadcasts" widget.
- Availability on the "Live Broadcasts" list and individual page - after selecting this option, the added video will be displayed on the list of live broadcasts.
- The ability to upload your own main image.
The Live Broadcast widget can be added in the Page Builder module in the selected template.
Note: Files uploaded through the Multimedia module are not accessible in the File Browser module, and vice versa - materials uploaded through the File Browser module are not available in the Multimedia module.
