X (Twitter) Widget

Show your users what's happening on your X (Twitter). Embed individual posts or the main profile with a view of the latest tweets.

The X (Twitter) Widget in CMS 4media allows you to embed the main profile or a single tweet. The content is displayed in the widget as a collapsed frame with an "Expand" button.

After clicking the "Expand" button, users will be able to see the full tweet or several recent posts (depending on the widget content settings).

Adding the Widget

You can add the X (Twitter) Widget as many times as you want to a single template. This means that each widget can be configured differently.

Widgets can be added in the Page Builder (Website Visualization) module. Simply choose a template, such as the homepage, and go to its editing by clicking the "Edit" button. The template's widget layout configurator will open. When you click the "+Add item" button, a window with widgets that you can add to the template will appear. Choose the X (Twitter) widget to access its settings.

  • Twitter.com Profile URL - here you can paste the link to the main profile on Twitter or the URL of a specific post.
  • Design - from the dropdown list, you can choose one of two options: light or dark. In the latter case, the content will be displayed on a dark background with white text.
  • Number of Tweets - with this switch, you can decide on the number of displayed tweets in the widget after clicking the "Expand" button. This option only works when you paste the address of your main Twitter profile.

Where to find the URL of a tweet published on Twitter?

The URL of a tweet is hidden under the date of its publication. To display this address, click on the tweet's publication date to view it in the browser. You can also right-click on the date and choose "Copy link address" from the context menu. Paste the copied link into the "Twitter.com profile URL" field to make the widget display only that specific post.
