Configuring the widget is straightforward. Simply choose the module from which the category list should be displayed and decide on the design of the category list (horizontal or vertical). You can also decide whether the widget should display a header along with accompanying elements such as Header Text, Header Link, and Header Icon.

Adding the Widget
To add the Categories Widget in CMS 4media, go to the Page Builder module. Just select the template to which you want to add the widget and enter its editing mode by clicking on the "Edit" button or the template name. This will open the template creator view with the layout of widgets it contains. Add a new widget by clicking the "+Add Item" button. The widget library will open, from which you can select the Categories Widget. A window with widget settings will appear.

Header Settings
By default, the entire header section is turned off. If you want to activate it, click on the "Show Header" switch. The header content will then expand, consisting of:
- Header Text - the displayed text on the header bar. You can enter something like "Other Categories," "Latest News," etc.
- Header Link - if you activate this switch, you can paste a link here. This way, you'll link the Header Text.
- Header Icon - if you activate its display, it will be visible before the Header Text. If Header Link is also active, the icon will be linked as well.

Content Settings
In the content settings, you can choose from which module the categories should be displayed. The options are:
- Articles
- Events
- Classifieds
- Business Directory
In the "List Design" field from the dropdown list, you can choose the presentation style of the category list - horizontal or vertical.

This is how the category display will look if you choose a vertical list:

And this is how it will appear if you choose a horizontal list:

If there are active subcategories in a particular category, they will also be displayed in the widget (see the screenshot above - the Sports category expands into subcategories such as Football, Volleyball, etc.).
Important! The widget only displays active categories. If you don't see a specific category on the list, make sure it is active in the Categories module.
